Royalty Global Sound (RGS), a leading event production Ibadan and Lagos-based company, provided full professional audio production for the Golden Penny Semovita Soup Festival at Liberty Stadium, Ibadan, on September 12, 2026. The festival drew over 2,000 guests for a full-day celebration of Nigerian food culture, featuring a Soup Village showcasing soups from across the country, cooking demonstrations, hosting by KieKie and MC Password, and live performances by Segun Johnson and Wande Coal
The Brief
RGS was engaged to deliver complete sound coverage for the Ibadan leg of the Golden Penny Semovita Soup Festival — a full-day, multi-zone activation combining live music, hosted segments, and culinary programming at Liberty Stadium. The RGS Team on Ground

Challenges We Faced and How We Solved Them
The Lagos–Ibadan run is normally a straightforward approximately three-hour drive. This time, it wasn’t. The production truck, carrying the full audio system — broke down en route to Liberty Stadium, turning a three-hour trip into six.
With a client counting on an on-time setup and no room to move the load-in window, the crew resolved the fault on the road, got the truck moving again, and drove straight into load-in on arrival — no time lost to recovery, no impact to the setup schedule.
The trip back after the event took even longer: over twelve hours on the road.
It’s not the kind of thing that shows up in a run sheet, but it’s the kind of thing that determines whether a show happens on time. The crew kept moving, kept the gear intact, and got the system rigged and ready without the client ever needing to know how close the day came to a very different outcome.
